Stained Glass for the Garden

In this super fun 1 day workshop you will be making a free standing Stained Glass panel for your garden, using traditional leading techniques which you will surround in Zinc/galvanised steel to make a rigid frame.

This session is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who have worked in Stained Glass before, so there will be plenty of  different patterns for you to choose from depending on your ability. We can even come up with your very own design!

You will cut glass to your pattern and build your piece using lead came which we will frame in zinc/steel.

I will help you as much, or as little, as you require from start to finish, so don’t panic!

There will be plenty of drinks and biscuits available, but please bring along a packed lunch.

Whilst I have tried to make this workshop as safe as possible, that cannot be guaranteed due to the nature of the materials involved.

You must wear solid soled, closed toed shoes- STRICTLY no flip flops, crocs or sandals!
You will need to wear safety glasses. I have plenty of pairs for you to use but you may want to bring your own.

I have good ventilation in the studio and filter units for use when soldering, but if you have asthma or other breathing issues then you may want to bring your own respirator mask.

This course is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding as we will be using Lead.
