Leaded panel, with option to set it into a steel free-standing frame.

In this fun one day workshop you will create a traditional leaded panel, with the option to add a steel/zinc frame and legs.

The leaded panel will be approx 16 x 25 cm and you can add hooks to hang it. If you choose to add a steel frame (at an additional cost) this will make the total height approx 60cm, making it perfect for a large pot on your patio, or to display in a large houseplant pot indoors.

Suitable for ALL Levels, even complete beginners. I limit the group to a maximum FOUR participants so you will get all the attention you need.

I have lots of tried and tested designs you can choose from, or we can work with your own ideas. You/we will cut your chosen glass to shape and then using traditional leading techniques you will assemble your panel to include the steel/zinc frame. You will then cement and polish your work ready to take home with you at the end of your workshop day.

I will help you as much, or as little, as you would like me to throughout.

If you would like to make an additional steel frame with legs to make your panel ready to be displayed in the garden, you can pay an additional £25, but you don’t need to decide now!
This is a long day to just make the leaded panel, so you can see how you’re feeling on the day.

There will be drinks and biscuits available throughout the day, but you will need to bring a packed lunch.

This workshop is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.

Working with lead requires good manual dexterity and a certain amount of strength.
And, although there will be plenty of opportunities to have a sit down (with a nice cuppa!), most of the day will be spent standing at the workbench.

Please note, unfortunately my garden studio is not wheelchair accessible.
